Ash is a specialist at a biotech working on finding new cancer
bio-markers, drug targets and contributing to publications in
scientific journals. He has produced elegant solutions to complex
problems which resulted in several issued patents. He competes (and
sometimes wins) in coding competitions using social, mobile, cloud and
web technologies. In his spare time he attends UCSF medical and
Stanford surgical seminars. He is very happy with all this, but what
he would really like is to get a major surfing (H2O) sponsor.

Frank: Power Consumption and Battery Life on Android phones
Frank Maker is a PhD student at the University of California, Davis in Embedded Systems focusing on low power mobile platforms. He also works as an Android Bootcamp instructor course for training company Marakana. During his time working on Android he has developed platform experience ranging from device drivers to high level applications. Currently he is an intern at a Silicon Valley IC company writing platform software for Android. Previously, he worked in embedded automotive electronics with BMW and Motorola. At UC Davis, he is a member of the Micropower Circuits and Systems Group (MCSG) working on: cell phone solar panel power supplies and processes for repurposing used cell phones. In addition to his research work, he also runs a consulting company, Handy Codeworks LLC, focusing on the Android and iPhone applications.
Ashwani Kumar: monetization and advertising on Android apps
Ashwani heads up the Smart Platforms business for InMobi and is responsible for product and business strategy across smartphones and tablets. He brings deep experience and expertise in working with mobile app developers and the ecosystem overall to the role with InMobi.
Previously, Ashwani co-founded AppLoop, one of the first mobile app analytics companies in Silicon Valley. Prior to his entrepreneurial adventure with AppLoop, he led the real-time business analytics business at Oracle and helped it become one of the fastest growing businesses within the company. Ashwani started his career as software engineer and built his expertise around digital media and analytics in Product Management and Business strategy roles.
Ashwani holds a Bachelor degree from IIT, Kanpur and a Masters degree from MIT.

@Ash - I'm pretty interested on understanding some of the AR quirks to I can use the first half hour for that =). Thanks!
Thank you David and Nelson for these technical discussions. My current Android project has to deal with battery life issues so the discussion is highly relevant.
As a response to the first presentation on AR, my preference is to keep the half hour of networking from 6-6:30 open for chat rather than have an ongoing AR/VR training at that time.
